CULTURAL EXCURSION PROGRAM
After your buffet breakfast, you visit the following highlights during fascinating cultural tours under the expert guidance of your private Egyptologist.

• The only surviving of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of pharaoh Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. This is followed by a visit to the Valley Temple and the ancient mysterious Sphinx.
  Optional: A bit hilarious but fun to do and always a nice memory is to slowly ride on a camel's back around the pyramid. 
• At Saqqara you see the first real pyramid, the Step pyramid of King Djoser, the mastaba of Mereruka and you can enter the Pyramid of pharaoh Teti.
• The prominent Egyptian Museum displays the unparalleled artistic treasures of ancient Egypt, including the world-famous golden mask of the boy king Tutankhamun. 
• During a leisurely walk in the oldest part of Cairo you visit historic churches dating from the 4th century AD and see the place where the holy family stayed when they sought refuge in Egypt. 
• You also visit the impressive mosque of Pasha Muhammad Ali, majestically situated high on a hill within the walls of a citadel. 
• In the medieval part of Cairo you can get a taste of the atmosphere of a 14th-century Oriental bazaar. The bustling bazaar offers an exciting shopping experience where you have the opportunity to try out the art of barging.

• After dinner you can attend the enchanting Sound & Light show at the pyramids.
• Romantic dinner aboard a sailing restaurant in the River Nile with a spectacular Oriental belly dance show.
