The ancient Egyptian tradition knew two types of mysteries: thet Akhut and the Sesheta. The Akhut, or glorious mysteries, were performed by priests and priestesses for the entire population. These mysteries generally existed of ritual drama, festivals, song and dancing.
The Sesheta mystery concerned the individual relation with the Divine and took place within the temple in front of the shrine of the God Form. In the 'normal' literature there is almost no information to be found about the Sesheta mysteries. The knowledge has been passed on in the 'hidden' temples and in the mysteryschools.
The Sesheta rituals in the Temple of Sekhmet offer the unique possibility of coming into contact with the goddess and as a result, with powers and potentials, deeply hidden within your self.
The psycho-spiritual exercises that we do, are from the Mysteryschool of Sekhmet and are meant to acitvate and integrate the subtle layers of your consciousness to prepare and intensify your work within the temple.
